Blackstone Repair Services received two rotating assemblies from an SRL604 Integrally Geared Compressor. The rotating assemblies required low speed dynamic balancing. 

Due to the high-speed application, the balancing tolerances were extremely tight leading to the final corrections to be milligrams of material removal. 

With support from  Baker Hughes representative Marco Quercia, we were able to balance both rotating assemblies to OEM tolerances. Both balancing activities took place on our Schenck HM40 balance machine. Balancing results were able to be verified by performing an API 687 Verification of Residual Unbalance which was found to be acceptable.
